The Role
We're seeking a strategic AI Strategist who embodies our core values and can bridge the gap between AI possibility and business reality. You'll work directly with small business owners to understand their challenges, identify AI opportunities, and create clear, actionable roadmaps that eliminate friction and amplify their potential.
This role is perfect for someone who thinks clearly, acts intentionally, and has a bias for progress over perfection.
What You'll Do
Strategic Discovery & Planning
Conduct comprehensive AI readiness assessments and discovery sessions with small business owners
Develop customized AI implementation strategies aligned with business objectives and realistic budgets
Create detailed roadmaps that prioritize impact and feasibility, with clear timelines and success metrics
Identify high-impact use cases for AI automation across different business functions
Client Partnership & Education
Serve as trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and executives on AI trends, risks, and opportunities
Present strategic recommendations in simple, accessible ways that cut through the noise
Facilitate workshops on AI literacy and change management
Be a force multiplier by elevating both your clients and your team
Implementation Excellence
Partner with automation architects and technical teams to ensure strategy translates into results
Monitor and optimize AI solution performance against established KPIs
Troubleshoot implementation challenges with a bias for progress
Develop training programs that help client teams thrive with new AI-powered workflows
Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership
Stay ahead of AI industry trends and translate developments into practical opportunities
Research and evaluate emerging AI tools and platforms for client recommendations
Contribute to educational content and frameworks that help the small business community
Build relationships with AI technology vendors and solution providers
You're Ideal for This Role If You
Experience That Matters
5+ years in strategy consulting, business transformation, or technology implementation
2+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies in business contexts
Proven track record leading successful digital transformation initiatives
Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and managing complex client relationships
Technical Fluency
Deep understanding of AI/ML capabilities including LLMs, computer vision, predictive analytics, and automation tools
Familiarity with popular AI platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, Microsoft AI, etc.)
Knowledge of workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, Power Automate, etc.)
Understanding of data requirements and governance for AI implementations
Business Acumen with Heart
Care deeply, deliver fully - you genuinely want to help small businesses succeed
Exceptional ability to translate technical concepts into business value and compelling ROI cases
Experience with change management and organizational transformation
Understanding of business processes across operations, marketing, sales, finance, and HR
Communication Excellence
Love teaching complex concepts in simple, accessible ways
Outstanding presentation skills for business owner and executive audiences
Experience creating strategic documents, proposals, and implementation plans
Natural ability to facilitate productive discussions between technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in related field
Experience at a management consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Big 4, boutique firms)
Previous entrepreneurial experience or work with startups/scale-ups
Certifications in AI/ML technologies or project management
Experience with no-code/low-code platforms and citizen developer initiatives
Public speaking experience and thought leadership contributions
