Turn Strategy Into Systems That Actually Work

Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: Engineering & Implementation

About Ampra

We're not just building automations. We're building a movement for small business owners who deserve enterprise-level power with startup-level simplicity.

At Ampra, we believe technology should disappear into the background—creating momentum, not complexity. We exist to make running a business easier and more energizing by helping entrepreneurs create systems that work for them, not the other way around.

Friction kills flow. We eliminate it.

The Role

We're seeking an Automation Architect who is obsessed with elegant solutions and has the technical chops to make AI-powered automation feel like magic. You'll be the builder who transforms strategic AI plans into sophisticated, reliable systems that seamlessly integrate into our clients' daily operations.

This role is perfect for someone who thinks in systems, has a bias for progress, and gets genuine satisfaction from seeing their solutions make real people's work easier.

What You'll Build

Sophisticated Automation Systems

  • Design and build complex AI-powered automations using Zapier, Make.com, N8N, and emerging automation platforms

  • Create intelligent agentic workflows that handle multi-step processes, decision-making, and exception handling

  • Integrate OpenAI APIs, Anthropic Claude, and other AI services into seamless automation systems

  • Build custom solutions that feel native to each client's unique workflow and business logic

Strategic Implementation

  • Translate AI strategy roadmaps into technical implementation plans that prioritize impact and reliability

  • Collaborate with AI strategists to ensure technical solutions align perfectly with business objectives

  • Think clearly, act intentionally by breaking down complex requirements into elegant, scalable systems

  • Test, optimize, and document automation systems for maximum reliability and long-term maintainability

Client Empowerment

  • Train clients and their teams on how to use, maintain, and extend their new automation systems

  • Create documentation and training materials that eliminate confusion and build confidence

  • Be a force multiplier by designing systems that make small teams feel like superteams

  • Provide ongoing support and optimization to ensure systems continue delivering value

Innovation & Excellence

  • Stay ahead of automation trends and evaluate new tools for client implementations

  • Contribute to Ampra's growing library of automation templates and best practices

  • Care deeply, deliver fully by taking pride in craft and going the extra mile for reliability

  • Collaborate with the team to push the boundaries of what's possible with no-code/low-code platforms

You're Ideal for This Role If You

Technical Excellence

  • Proven expertise building complex automations with Zapier, Make.com, N8N, or similar platforms

  • Hands-on experience with API integrations, webhook configurations, and data transformation

  • Strong understanding of AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and how to integrate them effectively

  • System thinking - you naturally see connections, dependencies, and optimization opportunities

Implementation Mastery

  • Experience designing sophisticated agentic workflows that handle real business complexity

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and automation flows

  • Track record of building reliable, scalable solutions that actually work in production

  • Problem-solving skills that help you iterate until solutions are just right

Collaboration & Communication

  • Love working with strategists, clients, and team members to bring ideas to life

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in clear, helpful ways

  • Documentation mindset - you naturally create systems others can understand and maintain

  • Real talk, real respect - you give and receive feedback constructively

Mindset & Values

  • Bias for progress - you ship version 1 and improve from real feedback rather than perfectionism

  • Genuine excitement about helping small businesses unlock their potential through automation

  • Growth mindset - you stay curious about new tools and approaches

  • Ownership mentality - you take responsibility for outcomes, not just outputs

Experience We Value

Required

  • 3+ years building production automation systems using no-code/low-code platforms
